MMSDC CHAIRMAN'S SCHOLARSHIP GALA

The Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council (MMSDC) is awarding minority college students in the STEM and Business fields with scholarships at our 2023 Chairman’s Scholarship Gala on October 3. In addition to the scholarships, the Gala also serves as a platform to recognize and thank our Board Chairman Robert Young for his leadership and vision in enhancing MMSDC services and programs as we transition the two-year chairmanship.

The Chairman’s Scholarship will award $5,000 scholarships ($2500 for 2 years) to minority students studying STEM and/or Business.

The Scholarship with Internship will be awarded to deserving undergraduate students or graduating seniors who are Michiganders attending or planning to attend a Historically Black College or University (HBCUs), while also majoring in computer science. Awardees will also attend a summer internship at a diverse-owned mobility tech startup from Plug and Play Detroit, Powered by the AmplifyD program. QUALIFICATIONS

· Member of one of the five minority groups (see ethnicity question)
· Currently a senior at at high school in Michigan or attending a two or four-year accredited College, University or Community College at Full time status (12 credit hours)
· Degree focus in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and/or Medicine (STEM), or Business and/or Business related fields (Marketing, Supply Chain, etc)
· Administration curriculum
· GPA of 3.0 or higher at a two or four-year accredited College, University or Community College
· Resident of Michigan (Graduated high school in Michigan)
· All Scholarship Applications must be submitted on or before August 12th
